Affairs of the Heart
As I have attempted to stay abreast of current events by listening to talk radio, and viewing various news reports, my attention was captured concerning the story of the Florida pastor who wants to burn the Koran on September 11th.

Pastor Moss

While I’ve not listened clearly nor investigated closely to determine his motives, I immediately asked myself the question, “Why?”  Yes it is true that at any given moment we can hear of an experienced individual coming against Christianity; coming against America by censoring any conversation about Christ, or burning the American flag.  Nevertheless, this type of behavior should not move one to a place wherein we engage in similar behavior.  This would cause onlookers to question the essence of our faith.

Yes, there has been quite a bit of conversation around Muslims and the sentiment of some Muslims toward America.  There have even been those who seem to believe that President Obama is a Muslim himself.  What this behavior demonstrates to me is the type of community that we create when we allow our emotions to guide and govern our rationale.

The Word of God is clear—He is no respecter of person. There is neither Gentile Jew nor Greek.  We are all God’s children.

Peace & Love,

Pastor M
