Pastor Moss

Today I had the opportunity to serve as the speaker for a prayer breakfast at the Andrew and Walter Young YMCA in Southwest Atlanta.  The blessing was that this center epitomizes the essence of Dr. King’s message and hope for generations to come.

This center serves a variety of children ranging from those who have ability to pay to those who have nothing more than a dream.  My message was taken from Isaiah 6:8, where the Lord asks “Whom shall I send?” Isaiah responds, “Here I am Lord, send me.”

As we celebrate yet another birthday and recount the desires of Dr. King, more of us must stand up and say, “Here am I Lord, send me.”  The question then becomes how are you serving your community-- better still, how are you serving humanity?

Get involved in the schools; get involved in your church; get involved in anything that seeks to enhance the human condition.  It is when we embrace the concept of community we will be able to take Dr. King’s dream, nurture it and fashion it to become a vision and then walk it out into reality.

Happy Birthday, Dr. King.

Peace & Love,

Pastor M
