From the Heart
Pastor MossAs I listened to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address, I found myself hanging on every word.  The question that came to mind was, "Are you hanging on every word because he is the president, because he is African American, or because he represents my age group of the 40-50 year old?"  The answer came that I was hanging on Mr. Obama’s every word because he delivered his speech from the heart.  The passion and sincerity rang louder in my ears than eloquence or a masterfully manuscripted message designed to manipulate the minds of the masses.

There is a change coming about if for no other reason than a desire of the people of this country to receive the life that God has promised His people.  That is, not a life absent of pain, trial and tribulation, but a life of abundant faith hope and love.  These three empower us as people of God and citizens of this country to commit ourselves the continuously declaring God’s kingdom come, God’s will be done.

As we continue to pray for President Obama, his wife and his children, we also pray for our brothers and sisters in Haiti, because as the president stated in his address, “Our destiny is tied to our neighbors abroad.”

God bless America

Peace & Love,

Pastor M
