We stand as a nation still traumatized by the death of an icon, Michael Jackson. 

We have heard the reports, seen the interviews, and read the articles, wherein the best and the worst of society have been displayed. 

While it is true he had some challenges in his life, what remains more true is that through his music and humanitarian efforts he touched countless lives. 

Yes, two other major individuals in the entertainment industry (Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett) also died last week.  However of the three, Michael Jackson galvanized not only a country or a nation, but the entire world. 

It really doesn’t matter if you’re Black or White, when you look at The Man or Woman in the Mirror,  we have to remember what Michael taught us and reminded us through his untimely death-- We Are the World  and we’ve Got to Be There for each other.
