Just Keep On Living

Pastor MossThis past week, the nation lost a political icon, Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts.

As one of the speakers at Senator Ted Kennedy’s funeral, President Barack Obama recounted the numerous tragedies that Ted Kennedy had to endure:   The death of his siblings and other family members, and even the illnesses that his children had to deal with.  Yet through it all, Senator Kennedy was fondly remembered as the rock, the one who held the family together and the most effective senator this country has ever known.

President Obama even touched on Senator Kennedy’s personal failings.  But he did so in a manner which served to encourage others to just keep on living.

There are those who called Senator Kennedy a womanizing drunkard, yet when he found his soul mate it appeared as though his life began to turn around.  This is not to suggest that his wife, Vicki, was responsible for the change or the transformation that Senator Kennedy experienced.  But it does suggest that because he kept on living, he was blessed to have found this relationship.

Your blessing may not come in the form of a relationship or anything material, but I would submit to you that having one more day to do better than yesterday is a blessing from God.

JUST KEEP ON LIVING!

Peace & love,
Pastor M.
