It would appear that they have finally found a way to plug the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico.
Isn’t it interesting that a company as large as British Petroleum (BP) whose operations depend upon successfully locating and drilling for oil did not have a contingency plan for such an emergency? How is it that this company who posted huge profits over the past several years did not think to invest in a team of individuals whose job it would be to run “what if” scenarios? If I, a Business Management major who is a pastor can think of this, don’t you think that individuals who went to school for this and who get paid millions of dollars would think of it?
My only desire is that BP is not allowed to pass the cost of cleanup, nor the cost of the millions of gallons lost, onto us the consumer. After all, they did post huge profits. Regardless of how it looks, my joy remains in the fact that God is in control and His Word reminds us in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Peace & love, Pastor M |
