Communications Ministry

MISSION STATEMENT

The Communication Ministry will document every sermon and making the spoken word, heard at Cascade, available to everyone.

GOALS

1. Produce, on site and in a timely manner, an adequate quantity of CDs and cassettes for sale immediately following our worship services.
2. Provide recorded worship services for purchase through the Cascade website marketplace.
3. Maintain a library of CD and cassette masters from worship services.

HOW WE SERVE CASCADE

  • We will produce, promote and sell quality recordings of the sermons at Cascade.

  • We will create and maintain a catalogue of CD’s and cassettes available from Sunday services, Wednesday-Night Live services and other special events held at Cascade.

  • We will maintain books and records from the sale of the products we produce.

  • We will maintain adequate and appropriate storage for all products.

  • We will maintain recording equipment.

The Communications Ministry helps spread the word of God and Cascade United Methodist Church. Informing Atlanta of what Cascade is doing in the community is only a small fraction of what the communications ministry does. In 2006, this ministry helped redesign The Messenger (the church’s monthly newsletter) and created various logos for church retreats and meetings.

As stated in our strategic plan: “The goals of the ministry are to bring more persons to Cascade and God. We [Communications Ministry chair, participants and volunteers] are interested in increasing the number of Cascade members and friends. Ultimately, our top goal is to spread the good news of Christ and let the church’s good works show its dedication to the gospel.”

There are many other tasks that the communications ministry is responsible for also: branding the various church ministries and events with logos and themes; helping with the production of The Messenger; assisting with publicizing the numerous ministry events and activities and other duties.
