MISSION
The mission of the “Cascade United Methodist Global Mission Ministry” is to use our talents and gifts to serve others; to spread the Lord’s Word and to be a “light in the community and world-wide organizations”.

VISION

Bringing hope to the world by taking the church to the community; and inviting the community back to church.

GOALS

  1. Provide a connection between Cascade and local factions depending on needs as they
    evolve.
  2. Promote, strengthen and renew the church’s connection to established groups that
    involve youth participation.
  3. Partner with established organizations and church groups to assist mission efforts for
    major projects, and yearly projects.

HOW WE SERVE

  • Receive and evaluate proposals and promote the church involvement via the ministry.
    This includes:
    • Locally -- Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA, Street Smart, Alfred Blalock
      Elementary School, Break thru House
    • Internationally -- Ghana and Malawi
  • Support church-related special projects such as Disaster Relief, BMCR, NAACP and Good Choices
  • Continue involvement and support for trips to countries in dire need by providing clothing,
    food, Bibles, school supplies and other items.
  • Increase marketing to promote major projects and generate support from the church and
    established partners such as: World Vision (AIDS), Dream for Africa, Mission Impossible
    (Haiti, Jamaica), Bermuda and missionaries assigned abroad.
