MISSION To teach members and the community Spanish and other language skills to equip them to be able to do evangelism and outreach in Hispanic and Caribbean communities.
GOALS
1. Promote competence in the Spanish language for a more diverse Cascade. 2. Provide supportive service to the Hispanic community. 3. Conduct periodic surveys to better assess the interest and needs of the congregation and community.
HOW WE SERVE CASCADE
- Teach three beginning and three advance sessions per year.
- Collaborate with the Latin American Association to identify families in need of outreach.
- Recruit volunteers from former and present students as well as other members of the congregation to assist with teaching and outreach.
- Identify and adopt an Hispanic family
- Host three cultural events per year.
- Form a Spanish Club with students who have completed the sessions and with other Spanish speaking individuals
