MISSION STATEMENT
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is…

• to know God
• to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ
• to develop a creative, supportive fellowship
• to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

GOALS

1. Conduct devotion time during each monthly meeting.
2. Support various programs and ministries within Cascade.
3. Support the United Methodist Church’s Minute Women Apportionments.
4. Donations to the Atlanta Women’s Shelter and Murphy Harpst.
5. Participate in the Wesley Walk-A-Thon, HUD home volunteering.

WHAT WE DO FOR OUR UNITED METHODIST WOMEN!

• Develop key lessons on topics like forgiveness, love, etc. along with the corresponding scriptures.
• Continue to show physical or fiscal support to Cascade’s efforts like pledges for the Teen Unit Scholarships, Women’s Conference, etc.
• Continue to solicit the assistance of our Spiritual Growth Coordinator to facilitate devotional time at each monthly meeting.
• Offer via face-to-face personal invitation, email reminders, written correspondence the services of United Methodist Women to the various ministries and programs of Cascade.
• Conduct month-to-month promotion of the Minute Women opportunity within The Messenger or our e-mail correspondence.
• Solicit additional support from the women of Cascade to join us in collecting and presenting items for the Atlanta Women’s Shelter and Murphy Harpst via The Messenger, flyers and our e-mail correspondence.
• Solicit additional support from the women of Cascade to join us in participating in the Wesley Walk-A-Thon and HUD home volunteering via The Messenger, flyers and our e-mail correspondence.
