Mission Statement The Cascade Young Adult Ministry seeks to affirm the unique gifts, talents, and ministries of young adults. Provide opportunities through programs and resources for young adults to explore ways to integrate their faithin their lives. Work to ensure fair and adequate representation by young adults throughout the life of Cascade UMC, including all boards, councils, and committees of the church; Foster an environment for young adults in our church and community that addresses their needs and issues through evangelism and a spirit of Christian fellowship. Goals: 1) Spiritual Development A Bible Study / Discussion group that addresses current events and issues from a Christ-centered perspective. 2) Outreach Work as a unique demographic to support one of the many outreach ministries at Cascade providing the most valuable resource of all – time! 3) Christian Fellowship & Discipleship Create an environment where Young Adults can fellowship with one another and attract others to join the body of Christ. What’s Happening for Young Adults: 1) The YAM Sessions Every Sunday at 9:45am in Room 205, the Young Adults get together to have spiritual discussion to tackle everyday issues. 2) Reaching Out Whether it be at the Peachtree and Pine Shelter, the Atlanta Community Food Bank or within Cascade, the Young Adults are active in giving back to Cascade and the Community. 3) Fellowship FourthFridays is where the Young Adults gather every month around Atlanta to hang out, chillax and unwind.
