MISSION
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical, Christian housing organization. Habitat’s mission is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.

Goals

1. Focus on assisting in providing a solution in the battle against sub-standard housing.
2. Identify volunteers willing to be participants in this outreach effort.

What We Do

• · Partner with Glen Memorial Methodist Church to build at least one house per year.
• Solicit a volunteer force from a variety of sources, including the Cascade congregation, community, and area colleges and universities.
• Assist in the identification, as well as follow-up, of the home owner.
• Produce a quarterly newsletter, Habichat, which shares information and updates about the program.
• Contact other agencies and sources for financial assistance with home building.
