MISSION
To teach members and the community Spanish and other language skills to equip them to be able to do evangelism and outreach in Hispanic and Caribbean communities.
GOALS
- Promote competence in the Spanish language for a more diverse Cascade.
- Provide supportive service to the Hispanic community.
- Conduct periodic surveys to better assess the interest and needs of the congregation and community.
HOW WE SERVE CASCADE
- Teach three beginning and three advance sessions per year.
- Collaborate with the Latin American Association to identify families in need of outreach.
- Recruit volunteers from former and present students as well as other members of the congregation to assist with teaching and outreach.
- Identify and adopt an Hispanic family
- Host three cultural events per year.
- Form a Spanish Club with students who have completed the sessions and with other Spanish speaking individuals
