
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to work in conjunction with the mission of Boy Scouts of America National Council -- which is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. This ministry will work with volunteer leadership to develop character, citizenship, and personal fitness in the lives of young men. We will offer numerous age-appropriate activities and events for members of our troop and recognize our scouts for achievements they make while going through the advancement steps of Cub Scouting, to Tenderfoot Scout, to Eagle Scout, with awards and recognitions.
BOY'S SCOUTS MINISTRY GOALS
- To developed one Boy Scout to achieve Eagle Scout--Boy Scout’s highest achievement, per year.
- To work with members of the congregation to help boys to achieve ranks and merit badges.
- To increase enrollment by 25 percent yearly.
- Achieve Quality Unit Award for 2006.
- To complete at least 4 Scouting function per year.
WHAT WE DO FOR BOY SCOUTS!
- Train Scout leaders to recognize male members of the congregation with talents to develop our Scouting youth.
- Promote Scouting and recruitment of scouts
- Create quality program that will develop the mind, body and character of our youth.
- Mentor the Youth
