Cascade United Methodist Church, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Marvin A. Moss, is a dynamic and progressive church that has evolved from its beginnings at 875 Cascade Road to its current location at 3144 Cascade Road. The church is experiencing continued growth, and has purchased 141 acres in East Point /South Fulton County, at Welcome All Road / Ben Hill Road, on which it intends to build a new worship center.

As the church moves into this new community, Cascade will be good partners and neighbors with the existing community throughout the pre-development and development process – as well as after the Worship Center has been built. The Church has established a relationship with the surrounding neighbors – the Welcome All Community – and has been meeting with neighborhood leaders and organizations since 2002. Cascade’s Development Committee has been engaged in dialogue with a broader base of communities including the South Fulton Home Owner’s Association – an umbrella group that includes Welcome All Community, Sandtown Community – and many other community clubs within the City of East Point.

The Cascade Worship Center will anchor this major 150 million dollar mixed-use real estate development project. Plans for the community include a charter school, a recreation facility, single family housing, town homes, condos, senior independent and assisted living residences, parks and green space.

There is a strong collaboration between Cascade’s Development Team and the City of East Point. The Development is expected to embrace all of the principles of smart growth, and will include a considerable amount of green space and trails. Working with the City of East Point, the community is being designed to minimize impact on traffic and congestion in the corridor. The inclusion of housing in the plan provides a significant increment to the tax base of the City of East Point.. Cascade was encouraged by city leaders to include housing in the first phase of the development. Cascade LLC has done this.
